We’re thrilled to share the latest updates to bilabl in May 2025, packed with new features, enhancements, and improvements designed to make your experience smoother and more efficient. Here’s what’s new in this release:

1. New Outlook Add-in integration

Stay productive right from your inbox! We’ve launched a seamless Outlook Add-in that integrates bilabl directly into your Outlook email. With just a few clicks, you can now:

  • File emails into bilabl
  • Add time entries
  • Add new contacts or clients

This integration saves time, simplifies your workflow, and keeps everything in sync effortlessly.

2. Customizable HTML billing template

Take control of your billing with our new HTML-based customizable templates. You can now:

  • Download your existing template
  • Edit it with HTML to adjust layouts, colors, fonts, and more
  • Upload your personalized design back into bilabl

This feature offers unmatched flexibility, enabling you to create professional, branded billing templates tailored to your style.

3. Separate forms for client types

To cater to different entity types more effectively, we’ve introduced distinct forms to better serve your diverse client base:

  • Add Corporate for companies/businesses
  • Add Individual for personal contacts

These tailored forms display only the fields relevant to each client type, speeding up data entry and improving accuracy.

4. Timesheet relocation to Main menu

Accessing timesheets is now more intuitive! We’ve relocated the Timesheet section to the Main menu, making it more visible and accessible. Users can now manage their time logs effortlessly without navigating through multiple sections.

Other improvements 

In In addition to the major updates above, bilabl has implemented several improvements and bug fixes to enhance the overall customer experience:

  • Increased Visibility for Client Industry Field: The client industry information field is now more prominently displayed.
  • Admin Edit/Delete Permissions: Administrators can now edit or delete billed timesheets and costs that are not linked to billing.
  • Optimized Timing Reports: Non-time-logging users are now excluded from timing reports (such as time tracking by user or time utilization report) by using the checkbox "Hide User with no target work hours”, ensuring data relevance and precision.
  • Other bug fixes and enhancements: Prevented time records from being linked to tasks that do not belong to the matters, ensured accurate hourly rate updates after user changes, improved client import functionality, enhanced bulk timesheet movement with clearer error messaging, added "Originated by 3rd Party" field at the matter level….
