We’re thrilled to share the latest updates to bilabl in February 2026, packed with new features, enhancements, and improvements designed to make your experience smoother and more efficient. Here’s what’s  new in this release:  

Introducing the new timer

An enhanced version of the Timer is now available to make time tracking more flexible and efficient.

The new Timer allows users to run multiple timers simultaneously instead of being limited to a single active timer. This makes it easier to track time across different matters or tasks without interrupting ongoing work.

Mail to Matters- a new way to file your email

We’ve introduced Mail to Matter, a new way to file emails directly into matters in bilabl

With this feature, each matter is assigned a unique email address (for example: matter-m03345-abc123@filing.bilabl.io). By simply forwarding an email to this address or adding it in CC or BCC, the email and its attachments will be automatically saved to the Correspondence folder of the corresponding matter in bilabl.

This provides an additional option for capturing emails besides the bilabl’s Outlook add-in, eliminating the need to manually upload messages while ensuring all matter-related communications are stored and organized in the right place.

Additional improvements: 

In addition to the major updates above, this release includes several other enhancements aimed at improving overall usability and flexibility across bilabl.

• Improved task notifications: Email notifications for task assignments, removals, or mentions in task descriptions now include the client name and matter name, making it easier to identify and respond to tasks quickly.
• Assistant entity permissions: Assistant users can now access the Documents tab in clients and matters as default.
• Google Drive folder display: The system now displays the actual Google Drive folder name in matter documents instead of showing “Current Folder”.
• Simplified phone fields: Office phone and mobile phone fields have been unified into a single Primary Phone field.
