Release Notes June 2026

This release introduces Calendar improvements, Billing Issued History improvements, and several usability updates across task management, billing, and matter management.

Calendar v2: New event type and calendar feed

The bilabl Calendar now supports additional event management options and integration with external calendar applications.

When creating an event in bilabl, you can choose how it is managed:

• Firm-wide, making the event visible to everyone in your firm.  
• Personal Calendar, keeping the event private to your own calendar without linking it to any record.

You can also synchronize your bilabl Calendar with external calendar applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, and Apple Calendar, using a read-only calendar feed. This allows your bilabl events to appear alongside your other calendars while continuing to be managed in bilabl.

Calendar synchronization with the bilabl Outlook Add-in

The bilabl Outlook Add-in now synchronizes calendar events between Outlook and bilabl.

• Link Outlook calendar events to Clients, Matters, or Deals in bilabl.

• Synchronize Microsoft Teams meeting links so meetings can be joined directly from bilabl.

• Keep event details, including the title, schedule, attendees, and meeting information, synchronized between Outlook and bilabl.

Event reminders and activity tracking for Calendar events will be introduced in a future release.

Billing Issued History improvements

The Billing Issued History report has been enhanced with additional billing information and reporting capabilities.

• View Credit Notes together with issued invoices in a single report.

• Review invoices linked to multiple Matters more easily, with each Matter displayed in a separate row in exported reports.

• Compare the current reporting period with the same period in the previous year using the updated comparison chart.

Additional improvements

This release also includes several usability improvements:

• Tasks: A new Completed Date field has been added to the Task form, allowing users to record the completion date of a task. Additionally, when viewing Tasks grouped by Due Date, a new Due Today section appears at the top of the list, and This Week has been renamed to Due This Week for clearer task organization.

• User Initials: A new Initials field has been added to User Profiles for storing a user's initials. Initials can be displayed in billing templates and managed by HR, Manager, and Administrator roles.

• Matter Table Views: Additional grouping options are now available in Matter table views. Grouped views also display totals for each column, making grouped results easier to review without exporting data.

• Matter Budget Currency: New Matters now automatically use the workspace default currency for the Matter Budget field, helping maintain consistent currency settings across new Matters.
